Admission Details (MBA / MIBA)

Admission notification for session 2011-12 Information Bulletin 2011-12 ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

• Admission to MBA / MIBA Course at Faculty of Management Studies, BHU is based on the combined merit acquired by a candidate in CAT, Group Discussion and Interview. As such a candidate who is interested to take admission at FMS, BHU is required to appear in >CAT conducted by Indian Institutes of Management.
• Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• A graduate degree under 10+2+3 Pattern / degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law / Post-graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3+2 pattern from any Indian University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE with atleast 50% marks in aggregate (atleast 45% for SC/ST candidates).
• A candidate appearing at the qualifying examination and expecting to fulfill the eligibility requirements as above may also apply

CATEGORY-WISE DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS IN MBA AND MIBA

The total no. of seats for both the pragrammes are 40* for the year 2009.

Reservations: SC: 15%; ST : 7.5 %; OBC 18% (Under Staggered Implementation Plan); PD: 3%

SUPERNUMERARY ADMISSIONS

• ADMISSION UNDER PAID SEATS SCHEME:
  
  Seats available in MBA & MIBA : 5 each
  
  Candidates willing to take admission under Paid Seats Scheme are required to fill up their options at the time of Groups Discussion & Interview. Admission under paid seats will be made after completion of regular seat admissions. A separate merit list will be drawn from the remaining candidates who are willing to be considered for admission under Paid Seat Scheme as per option submitted by the candidates at the time of Group Discussion and Interview. The candidates will be required to pay annual fee of Rs. 75,000/-. In addition to Rs 75000/-, such candidates are also required to pay regular fee.
• ADMISSION OF FOREIGN NATIONALS:
  
  Seats: 5 each for MBA & MIBA Programs.
  
  Admission work of International Students is handled by International Students Advisor, International Students Centre, BHU. International Students’ Advisor, with the help of Admission Committee shall examine the eligibility of each applicant and also the equivalence of the qualifying examination passed by the candidate and will issue the eligibility letter if they are found eligible. Foreign Nationals are exempted from appearing in CAT.
