Established in 1968, the Faculty of Management Studies as an epitome of vision of the great statesmen, visionary and founder of BHU, Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya. Ever since its establishment the focus of the institution has been to cater to the needs of the business in the emerging world with Over a period of three and a half decades the faculty has produced over 3000 management graduates serving India as well as abroad.

The faculty provides three full time Post graduate programmes viz. Master of Business Administration (MBA 2yrs), Master of International Business Administration (MIBA 2yrs), and Master of Agri-Business Administration (MBA Agri 2yrs) duly approved and certified by AICTE.

The faculty has also started a Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance Management (PGPMI, 1yr) program in collaboration with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance in the year 2007.

The programmes have been designed to equip budding managers with the latest technical knowledge and refine their domain of expertise and skills. The MIBA programme enables the encashments to explore international business opportunities. The admissions to these programmes are strictly through CAT conducted by IIMs.

The faculty also provides for a Doctoral Programme in Management. It has also been offering a two year full time research programme since 1968.

The faculty has also got the honor of being one of the 5 QIP centers in the country recognized by AICTE. Various research & training activities are being undertaken under the Special Assistance Programme (SAP-thrust area :Entrepreneurship Development) organized by UGC.
